Sthapana & Aarti
The celebration begins with respectfully welcoming and installing Lord Ganesha, followed by prayer, flowers, lamps, chants and aarti according to family or community tradition.
Ganesh Chaturthi fills our homes with devotion, prasad, decoration and celebration. This year, Just Help Me Foundation invites you to make giving part of every festive day. Keep a small part of your celebration for a hungry family, a child who needs education, a patient who needs care or someone struggling with basic essentials.
Ganesh Chaturthi is filled with aarti, prasad, flowers, music and community celebration. Alongside these traditions, the festival can also become a powerful moment of giving. A meal shared, a ration kit provided, a child supported or a patient helped can turn devotion into visible compassion.
The celebration begins with respectfully welcoming and installing Lord Ganesha, followed by prayer, flowers, lamps, chants and aarti according to family or community tradition.
Doorways, homes and pandals are decorated with flowers, torans, rangoli, lamps and festive craft. Many communities also choose reusable and environmentally thoughtful decoration.
Modak is especially associated with Ganesha. Families prepare or offer sweets and prasad, then share them after prayer as part of hospitality and collective celebration.
Dhol, tasha, bhajan, lezim and community processions are prominent in many places, especially in Maharashtra. The exact style varies by locality and tradition.
Each day of Ganesh Chaturthi can become a reason to share. Select a day to see one practical seva focus — food, ration support, education, healthcare, clothing, elderly care or family relief. The purpose of this 11-day journey is simple: celebrate Bappa with devotion, and let a part of that celebration directly reach someone who needs help.
Welcome Bappa by helping a family begin the festival with a proper meal and basic food support.

Ganesh Chaturthi is a time when families willingly spend on decoration, sweets, gatherings and celebration. This page asks for one more conscious choice: keep a part of that festive budget for someone whose concern is not celebration, but food, medicine, school supplies or basic daily needs. Through Just Help Me Foundation, your festival contribution can become practical seva for people facing genuine hardship.
Ganeshotsav can feel intimate at home and spectacular in public spaces. The visual language changes from family altars to large mandals, but the shared thread is welcome, participation and farewell with gratitude.

Traditional clothing adds to the festive atmosphere: kurtas, dhotis, sarees, lehengas, dupattas and regional styles are commonly seen at homes, pandals and processions. Participation is not limited to one visual style, and public Ganeshotsav spaces often bring together neighbours and visitors from varied backgrounds.
Kurta, dhoti, saree, dupatta and festive regional clothing create a strong cultural identity without making dress a requirement for participation.
Modak, laddoo and local dishes are often prepared and shared with guests, neighbours and devotees after prayer.
Community pandals may include cultural programmes, devotional music, decorations and social initiatives throughout the festival.
Clay idols, reusable décor and responsible immersion practices can reduce environmental impact while keeping the celebration meaningful.
When a festival brings abundance to our homes, it can also become the right time to remember families living with scarcity. Choose a form of seva that feels meaningful to you and contribute seriously. The objective is not symbolic giving; it is practical help that can support meals, essentials, education, healthcare and family relief.
Help extend food and essential grocery support to needy families so the festival can carry nourishment as well as celebration.
Support books, learning resources and education programmes for children whose opportunities are limited by financial hardship.
Strengthen verified health, emergency and relief efforts for vulnerable people through the Foundation's wider charitable work.
Contribute toward practical assistance for people facing poverty, crisis or difficult living conditions, based on genuine programme needs.
Celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi with devotion and let seva become part of the offering. Through Just Help Me Foundation, your contribution can support people whose daily needs continue beyond the festival. May Bappa's blessings inspire us to share food, opportunity, care and dignity with those who need it most.
